Day 182

It brightened my day when:

J: K called to say everything was okay
K: P and J went out and got D&D coffee and treats for everyone since there was no electricity or water
P: Uncle Duh brought D&D donuts
J: B came to give me tons of kisses
H: Uncle Duh took us out to explore in the woods

Day 181

It brightened my day when:

J: Michel had us over for a bbq to end our groups year activities
K: P and G brought out all their survival kit goodies
P: all the boys had a great water fight in the hot and humid sun
J: everyone rallied together and scrambled downstairs during the near tornado weather
H: mommy came to pass the soccer ball around with me today

Day 180

It brightened my day when:

J: K called me to check in
K: H asked me to play some soccer just with him
P: Uncle duh took us to the batting cages
J: ditto
H: mommy was goalie during our soccer game

Day 179

It brightened my day when:

J: K sent me a great video of the kids
K: G took me all over town
P: my cousins came over and we all played a fun game of soccer in the back yard
J: P took my brothers and me to "Cheeburger Cheeburger"
H: mommy got to come outside and play lacrosse with everybody (P, J and me)

Day 178

It brightened my day when:

J: I entered my a/c hotel room and fresh new sheets were on my bed
K: T invited us to her new place and we got to catch up after several years
P: I got to reconnect with L after several years
J: T invited us over to her house
H: I asked me to play foosball with him

Day 177

It brightened my day when:

J:
K: L drove an hour just to come see us
P: L let me take the boys for a walk to the creek
J: S wanted me to play with her
H: E came to visit me

Day 176

It brightened my day when:

J: the hotel staff offered me such an incredible room
K: Paul came to pick us up on the side of the road after learning our truck broke down
P: Gi helped me with my newly developed blister
J: Pop took us out on a late-night ride
H: Paul let us ride in the back of his Honda Element

Day 175

It brightened my day when:

J: E and C came to meet up with me for coffee
K: P spent so much of his morning putting together a puzzle with the kids
P: P took us to the O's/Nat's game and UJ got to join us
J: UJ sat next to me at the game
H: mommy gave me her bag so I could rest my head and go to sleep on the way home

Day 174

It brightened my day when:

J:
K: Luis greeted us so cheerfully and still remembered us at "Sierras"
P: Shane encouraged me to play the trumpet and join the cool group of trumpeters
J: G always includes on all her outings
H: the lady came over to me several times to tell me to be careful because my plate was so hot

Day 173

It brightened my day when:

J: the staff at Starbucks were warm and welcoming first thing this morning
K: Poppop took time to put together the baseball screen for the boys
P: G and P asked me to sing a song for them
J: mommy asked me to make the salad dressing and everyone liked it
H: the man at the store gave me extra cheese and pear samples

Day 172

It brightened my day when:

J: my hotel gave me the room with a view of the Eiffel tour
K: the waitress so willingly brought us so many extra sides without ever appearing upset
P: all the family came with me while I made my debut drive around the neighborhood
J: the lady at Bertucci's called me "hon"
H: Poppop let me drive his truck down the driveway

Day 171

It brightened my day when:

J: the Opel garage had my light piece ready for me and were so friendly
K: G prepared such a delightful meal for us all
P: P and H played soccer with me
J: the Old Navy guy told me to come back at a later date so I could benefit from the 1$ flip flop sale before getting them today
H: P and P came out to play soccer with me even though it was so hot

Day 170

It brightened my day when:

J: K let me know she could take care of the reference call for me
K: P told me he would be more than happy to take care of the reference call for me!
P: the man at best buy was so helpful and took so much time to help us
J: P and G took us to a really good frozen yoghurt spot 

H: P let me drive by myself down the driveway

Day 169

It brightened my day when:

J: our previous landlord invited me over for breakfast with his family

K: my dad took the time to teach my kids how to ride his tractor--just like he did with me when I was 13

P: Poppop let me ride his tractor

J: Poppop let me ride his tractor

H: Poppop let me ride his tractor all by myself

Day 168

It brightened my day when:

J: P came to the house as I was getting ready to say goodbye and I was able to hand over the keys for the last time and say goodbye to a good friend

K: J told me he had taken care of our pet mice and was able to give them a good home

P: my cousins came for a surprise visit

J: my little cousin gave me kisses

H: all my cousins came and we played all day outside

Day 167

It brightened my day when:

J: my colleage Barbara (who is retiring this year) enjoyed the little number we put together for her in the staff room today.
K: everyone was so helpful on the plane today
P: the peple on the plane were so nice about the food and drink
J: the lady sitting in front of me on the plane gave me a huge smile
H: when I saw the double-decker plane we got to go on.  Wow!

Day 166

It brightened my day when:

J: K prepared a lovely "traditional" dinner and J made me a cake
K: H's teacher seemed to enjoy the little treat I brought her
P: my music teacher had me do my song...again
J: my Latin teacher told me that I have been improving well all year
H: I said bye to my friends for the summer

Day 165

It brightened my day when:

J: my friend had some "change of status" news
K: the doctor (same one as ealier in the week) was sooooo nice and helpful
P: I got some great pool time (for the last time at this house)
J:  I got to see Louis and Laurine
H: I got to play a lot in the pool this afternoon

Day 164

It brightened my day when:

J: a couple colleagues and I had a nice chat during lunch
K: I had coffee at a friend's house who I haven't seen in a while
P: one of the teachers at our school was so friendly too me outside the school
J: when my English teacher told me she would look for some book at her house that she will lend to me for the summer
H: I got a lot of play time with P

Day 163

It brightened my day when:

J: the secretary at my school really helped me out on a little issue I was having
K: H made my bed for me this morning
P: the cashier at Mr. Pizza looked relieved when I had a very simple order (it was a busy lunch period)
J: my whole class celebrated the end of the year by going to Mr. Pizza for lunch
H: K was so happy that I made her bed
