Day 354

It brightened my day when:

J: everyone came to support the school drama club
K: J found the Hungarian couple who were selling our favorite Hungarian sugar/cinnamon dessert and he bought us all some
P: my friend found me and asked me to sit next to him during the play
J: P/G and everyone came to the play and I sat next to us
H: the couple gave us a free Hungarian cinnamon dessert

Day 353

It brightened my day when:

J: L helped read over one of my letters I was writing
K: M and her family brought such a thoughtful gift to us
P: G asked H and I to ice the cake for mommy
J: G asked me to bake the cake for mommy
H: G asked me to put all the icing on the cake

Day 352

It brightened my day when:

J: the kids asked if we could listen to Tony K on the way to hockey
K: P drove H to school for me today and H was happy to have him do it
P: a girl at school I don't even know let me borrow her calculator
J: mommy asked how my test went and she was so excited when I said very well
H: P and G came to my hockey practice tonight

Day 351

It brightened my day when:

J: got word that the plane had landed safely
K: I received a phonecall from P saying they were on their way
P: we came home and saw P and G smiling through the windows with santa hats on
J: we saw P and G at our house as a great surprise (even though I knew it)
H: P and G were in the car pretending to be a delivery truck so they could surprise me

Day 350

It brightened my day when:

J: the cashier was so overly helpful at the store
K: J mowed the yard for the kids to be able to play in and so the house would look extra nice for our guests
P: daddy mowed the yard so we could play football better
J: J and K let me sleep in until 11
H: P asked if I wanted to go get dressed to play football outside

Day 349

It brightened my day when:

J: the boys were so excited to throw the ball around today with me
K: H smiled at us from the stage while singing in his concert
P: H's friends were so happy to see me and they all ran up to me just to say hi
J: mommy and daddy let us spend the night at L and L's
H: everyone clapped so loud after we sang our Christmas songs at our concert

Day 348

It brightened my day when:

J: the parents told me my french was coming along
K: the friend of P brought him down to meet me even though it was pouring rain
P: G invited to his house after school and we worked so well on our project and his little sister was so sweet
J: mommy took us out to S as a surprise supper
H: mommy and made truffles and she told me I was such a great truffle maker

Day 347

It brightened my day when:

J: the kids in K's online class asked if I would come speak to them because they wanted to ask me how I was doing
K: the little boy in moyen ran up to me to tell me one of the petit kids were crying and they needed me
P: the surveillant was so friendly with us
J: I told me she loved my tortilla roll-ups I made even though they were a bit spicy for her
H: mommy brought me raspberries for my snack

Day 346

It brightened my day when:

J: P and J said how much they loved MUN
K: M was so excited to decorate the cookies we worked on together
P: daddy said he was so impressed with my trumpet skills
J: mommy said I was the best baker she knew
H: J let me help her make the cookies

Day 345

It brightened my day when:

J: K said she loved my pasta
K: C told me she was so happy I could come and help
P: theater coach said I was doing very well
J: my friend A was so happy to see me outside theatre practice tonight
H: mommy told me she thought I was doing so well in hockey practice

Day 344

It brightened my day when:

J: K prepared a delicious meal for us upon our coming home
K: when the family were all very pleased to eat my casserole and were very grateful in fact!
P: W said I did well at hockey tonight
J: daddy and mommy were so excited for me about my grades
H: mommy was in the library for library day and she checked my book out for me

Day 343

It brightened my day when:

J: the kids were so thrilled to be watching our favorite team on tv and they all loved our football chili
K: J made a great supper so I could prepare for my lessons
P: H was so excited that he could help build the "White House" with me
J: mommy let us watch a movie with her
H: P let me help him build the White house

Day 342

It brightened my day when:

J: everyone let me go to the hockey game
K: we went to get our xmas tree and the kids were so excited then we went home and J made us the best hot chocolate to drink while decorating the tree
P: J made us baguette pizzas and hot cocao
H: we went to get a xmas tree

Day 341

It brightened my day when:

J: K had an early supper ready for my colleague and I so we could rush off to our practice
K: S told me his favorite restaurant was "Chez The Famille S"
P: all my friends were so supportive and excited to hear how I did on my speech
J: E was waving frantically at me in the bus
H: mommy told me my teacher said I was doing well with my French

Day 340

It brightened my day when:

J: a couple that had no idea who my son was, came up to him and said: "we don't know you but we were rooting for you--we think your speech was the best"!
K: I heard so many people be so supportive to P before and after his speech
P: so many people came up to me during and after the contest and were so supportive and everyone had such a great time together-it was a great feeling
J: my teacher made me responsible for giving a review about the speech contest
H: Adrien told me I was his "meilleure ami du monde"

Day 339

It brightened my day when:

J: the kids in MUN were well prepared and had a great time presenting their work
K: L emailed me to say "good luck" to P on his speech contest tomorrow
P: everyone in the family was helping me figure out what to wear for my speech contest
J: I got to sit next to L and E during MUN
H: mommy told me my wreath was beautiful

Day 338

It brightened my day when:

J: K was excited to hear my news
K: C told me she was so happy I was there for her today
P: daddy told me I was making good progress on my work
J: mommy made us an Advent calendar
H: mommy told me I had some good moves tonight in hockey

Day 337

It brightened my day when:

J: S was so talkative and chatty on our ride to the speech contest
K: V came running to see me after school knowing that I was going to take him home
P: Dad took S and I together to the speech contest
J: G thanked me for returning W's sweater
H: I received a message from my friend who moved away

Day 336

It brightened my day when:

J: K encouraged me to go to hockey for some exercise
K: some old friends came up to us at the marche and we had a great time catching up
P: X came up to me after having not seen him in 3 years
J: L/L/J came over and were so happy that I made crepes for them
H: mommy and daddy told me we were all walking to the marche 

Day 335

It brightened my day when:

J: C made us the most delicious meal
K: J made me laugh to the point of tears
P: The G family had us over and we had so much fun together even though it had been a long time since we last saw each other
J: everyone said how much I have grown--that makes me happy
P: the big kids always let me play with them
