Day 305

It brightened my day when:

J: the guy at Subway was so friendly
K: L told me she was so happy that P was so great with her children
P: S gave me her egg because she knew I was so hungry
J: J and K asked me to read them sports trivia questions during our trip
H: K got a big car so we could all travel together in the same car

Day 304

It brightened my day when:

J: the lady at the prefecture was very thorough and helpful and assisted us in getting done quickly this year
K: K and L offered to watch the kids for us so we could go to the prefecture and when we got home she had some delish soup waiting for us
P: we all played hide and go seek with the bouncy balls
J: mommy made Uncle Duh's french toast recipe
H: everybody came to my hockey practice

Day 303

It brightened my day when:

J: the boys were excited to show me the fort they built in the backyard
K: the little girl was amused by watching us all play together and started to play with us all in the park
P: K played catch with us
J: K played catch with us
H: K and L said I had a great arm

Day 302

It brightened my day when:

J: K brought our guests and myself coffee for breakfast
K: L offered to let me sit up front when I was feeling carsick
P: Daddy took us to our favorite mountain climbing sea side spot
J: everyone loved my fudge and asked for more
H: K and L brought us some yummy food from the US

Day 301

It brightened my day when:

J: my boys came outside asking if I would teach them how to play a game of poker and they took a genuine interest in playing a round with their dad
K: L made a cup of tea for me
P: K told me to come with him and go "hunt" for the little boys in the yard
J: K, L, E and S came to visit and brought us so many lovely treats from the States
H: they surprised me and showed up in our driveway

Day 300

It brightened my day when:

J: I saw a colleague who was dressed to a tee looking like a typical french man from a textbook
K: the man driving gave me a huge smile as I pulled over to let him pass by
P: my Russian teacher brought in different Russian candies for us to try
J: daddy came to pick us up at the bus stop because it was pouring
H: our teacher let us play games and I learned a new one

Day 299

It brightened my day when:

J: J went to get me a cookie at subway
K: the whole family was able to have dinner together and J made a delish meal for us all
P: my trumpet teacher told me he was really pleased with my playing
J: daddy was so happy I got him a cookie
H: a friend came up to me yesterday and said "good play" during our soccer match

Day 298

It brightened my day when:

J: S came over and we had a fun evening meal with the family
K: I received such a lovely email from someone saying something so kind to me
P: mom told me that her class that she introduced me to was asking questions about me
J: mom had us meet her class from Haiti via Skype
H: the dentist was nice to me on my first cleaning visit

Day 297

It brightened my day when:

J: the kids thanked me for the good meal
K: the lovely man brought us our order without us asking for it
P: my friends said good job after theater class
J: my friends came to me and we had a good chat after our race before class
H: mommy took me to Mcdo after hockey 

Day 296

It brightened my day when:

J: I walked into my classroom and the students had written on the board, "terminale history next" with a smiley face next to it
K: P stopped over and so willingly called our internet provider for us to ask a question
P: my friends asked if I wanted to join them for a game of soccer during our break
J: mommy came up to pick us up because it was raining
H: mommy and I got to watch a movie together during lunch today

Day 295

It brightened my day when:

J: the hockey team wrote saying that they needed some players to come out and play
K: S said she would take FS to help us with our project
P: a friend invited me to his house so we could work on our assignment
J: the A's came over for dinner
H: everyone went outside to play football

Day 294

It brightened my day when:

J: our neighbors came over for an aperitif and brought all their family and some friends
K: we were able to meet our neighbors and their entire family
P: the little girl at the party was so social and wanted us to play chase
J: Elodie kept wanting me to be with her at the retirement party
H: P and the little girl played chase with me at the retirement party

Day 293

It brightened my day when:

J: I came home and the house smelled great thanks to K
K: J made us a delicious, fancy meal
P: everyone said my practicing was great
J: my friends happened to be on the same bus as me and we were able to ride home together
H: mommy played lots of games of "go fish" with me

Day 292

It brightened my day when:

J: H was happy to see me and was excited to head to hockey
K: P's trumpet teacher was so helpful and encouraging about the broken trumpet and that Gato had a peaceful last day
P: my teacher made a joke at the end of our lesson and said, "hey, don't go breaking this trumpet too now"
J: mommy surprised us and said we were going to go out to eat after P's trumpet lesson
H: mommy and I worked together to find a nice place for Gato and mommy said I was such a great caregiver to Gato

Day 291

It brightened my day when:

J: the family allows me to go play hockey when I can
K: M brought such a lovely treat to me from England
P: my friend and I practiced Russian together when we learned our teacher was absent
J: mommy came to take me to the Doctor to check out the pain in my leg and he gave me medicine to help it
H: P played a quick game of indoor football just before bed

Day 290

It brightened my day when:

J: K took care of the speeding tickets for me already
K: the little girl at the pre-school wanted me to stay and go to the cantine with her
P: the teacher said she was going to allow us all to re-do our speeches
J: mommy let Gato stay inside for the night
H: mommy took me to hockey and we found my neck guard

Day 289

It brightened my day when:

J: our neighbors invited me in for a tour of their house
K: our old landlord popped in for a quick surprise visit just to say hi
P: mommy had a delicious potato-leek soup ready for us when we got home
J: everyone loved my home made hot chocolate for dessert
H: my friend shared his pokomon card with me

Day 288

It brightened my day when:

J: K surprised me by trimming the trees
K: P my neighbor had removed all my tree trimmings without telling me
P: J and K told me my topic was a great one
J: mommy told me I could make a cake
H: J made a cake for everyone

Day 287

It brightened my day when:

J: K and all the kids came to get me at the train station and the kids had a presentation for me.
K: J and P came early in the morning to show us how to do our burning
P: H made an awesome spot for us to play football
J: everyone allowed me to stay sleeping until 12 noon
H: P and mommy played outside with me all day

Day 286

It brightened my day when:

J: Paris installed rental bikes right where I was standing so I could bike back to my hotel through the heart of the city
K: Poppop was pleased with the newsletter results
P: the boy at school found my phone and turned it in to the principle and I was able to retrieve it
J: my teacher told us we were going to read Les Miserables this semester
H: my friends at school were so happy I scored them 4 points during sport today
